Position involves overall care of both cats and dogs, you must be comfortable working with both and be able to lift 50 lbs. Adoption Counselor Staff: If you are interested in working with the public to help save more pets, we have openings for shifts – mornings, evenings, and weekends. Tasks involve working with potential adopters in person and on phone, working with public who may need to surrender pets, record keeping, retail sales, handling pets and other miscellaneous tasks. The Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator will prioritize managing and coordinating our volunteer program, then provide administrative and logistical support for Shelter community programs and events. Primary duties will include volunteer program management, youth outreach, office duties, and interaction with the community and partner organizations. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate communicator who is able to work independently and can also demonstrate flexibility and innovation. Veterinarian: We are seeking a part-time or full-time veterinarian to join our team. The ability to work weekends is desirable. The ideal candidate will have experience and a keen interest in shelter work. Routine tasks currently include daily health exams, diagnosis, prescribing medications, administering shots, and meeting with adopters as needed. We are always looking for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to help. Most of our staff have started out as volunteers. We always need volunteers to help with cats and dogs, especially our 7-11am and 5-9pm shifts.
