Help Homeless Dogs and Cats
Are you an animal lover but not ready to adopt or you can’t because of your living situation? Have you adopted your pet but want to do more to help other animals? Do you feel you can make a difference? If the answer is “Yes”, then there are many ways you can get involved with the Shelter.
Email A Friend
The best way for us to get the word out about Northeast Animal Shelter and our exciting programs is by word of mouth. You will notice an “E-mail A Friend” graphic on many of the pages within our website. If you know someone who would be interested in our work, please tell them about Northeast Animal Shelter!
Volunteer Opportunities
We wouldn't be able to do all the work we do without help from our dedicated volunteers! Some help with the daily chores of cleaning and feeding. Others sit and quietly pet a frightened cat or walk our dogs.

Community Outreach
The Shelter is always looking for volunteers to take a carefully selected dog or cat on a nursing home visit, or teach children the importance of responsible pet ownership. Our volunteers are a valuable liaison within the community.
