Puppies Across America
Every day, thousands of unwanted pets are abandoned in their native states across the U.S. There are not enough adoptive homes for so many of these needy animals -- and most face certain death.
At the Shelter we’ve found a way to help some of these animals with our innovative Puppies Across America Program.
Since spaying and neutering has become common practice in the Northeast, it is unusual to find a litter of puppies in an animal shelter in this part of the country. But many adoptive families come to us looking for a puppy.
So each month, through our Puppies Across America Program, hundreds of orphans from across the U.S. are flown or driven to our Shelter. They share our facility with locally rescued animals until each and every one is placed in a loving home.
Since 1994, the Puppies Across America Program has saved the lives of thousands of needy puppies. It's a long journey for our little friends, but knowing that we can find loving homes for them makes our work all worthwhile. They are the lucky ones!
Puppies Across America is made possible by the generous donations of
people like you. Your tax-deductible gift helps cover transportation
costs, healthcare, inoculations and food...and more importantly,
you can help save a puppy from certain death. Donate

Recently, a 16-year-old volunteer from Old Fella, a Georgia rescue group who delivered dogs and puppies to our shelter, created a wonderful video and posted it on YouTube to thank us for the work we do.
