WINTER 2010
Fresh Out of the Box

Some animals are so downright loveable that it’s hard to understand how anyone could part with them. That’s just the kind of little kitten M.B. is. Yet not only did his original owners part with him, they abandoned him in a Dunkin Donuts box in a grocery store parking lot.

There’s no telling how long M.B. would have survived, hungry and trapped, if Wendy and her sister hadn’t heard his terrified cries.

Read more about how M.B. found his way from a grocery store parking lot into a new, loving home!

A Smooth Cat

We often receive letters from happy families after they adopt one of our precious animals. Libby from Brighton, MA writes:

“We simply adore our new kitten. He was renamed ‘Santana’ by my youngest daughter in honor of the musician Carlos Santana. He has the run of the house and believe me, he does a lot of running. He is playful, cheerful, inquisitive and thoroughly indulged by everyone in the house. He couldn't be more loved. We talk all the time about what a great cat he is. Thank you for bringing us together.”
