During a wintery snowstorm, a kind neighbor discovered Charlotte wandering the street, barely alive and begging for food and shelter. It was obvious the dark gray, long-haired cat needed care immediately.
She arrived at Northeast Animal Shelter soaking wet, matted and starving. Despite her condition, Charlotte began purring when we examined her. It warmed our hearts to see such a beautiful, loving animal show such joy over being rescued even while suffering.
Our veterinarian determined that Charlotte had an ear infection, abscessed teeth, trauma to her right eye and borderline hypothyroidism. It took several costly surgeries to save her life, but were determined to do whatever it took to restore her to good health.
Thanks to supporters who feel every animal’s life is worth saving, Charlotte is doing exceptionally well because we were able to fund Charlotte’s medical care. Now Charlotte has a chance to find a forever home!
