We adopted Brie on December 6, 2019, and she is adjusting extremely well. She enjoys walks and if the weather permits, we take long walks for about 30 to 45 minutes. My two college children just came home for Christmas and Brie connected with them immediately. They now take turns walking Brie every day.
We had a trainer come to our home to give Brie some training lessons and we worked on walking and searching (smell) exercises. These exercises were positive, challenging and fun and strengthened the foundation of trust between Brie and us.
Overall, Brie is just awesome and we are so blessed to have her as part of our family. I want to thank Sue and all the staff and volunteers at NEAS for the opportunity to adopt Brie.
