Since the Shelter’s temporary closing in March as a result of COVID-19, we have received over 14,000 pre-adoption forms from interested adopters. We are so touched by the outpouring of interest we have received from people wanting to adopt and foster homeless pets, and we greatly appreciate your patience while we make adjustments to the new appointment-based adoption process we’re currently operating.
In an effort to sort forms and communicate with those who have already submitted an adoption form, we will no longer be accepting adoption form submissions until further notice. Available pets will still be viewable on our website to help guide those who have an appointment scheduled. Available pets with specific needs will be featured on our social media channels with instructions on how to inquire (and will also be featured on the website with instructions).
At this time, we are not able to call everyone who has submitted an adoption form. Please continue to bear with us as we work through the large volume of forms we have received!
Only those with an appointment will be permitted inside the Shelter.
If you have a scheduled appointment:
- Please arrive at your adoption appointment on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your appointment may be forfeited
- In compliance with state law and for everyone’s safety, you will be required to wear a face mask, sanitize your hands (NEAS will provide sanitizer), and have your temperature taken before entering the building.
If you or others in your community are struggling to feed your pets, we’re here to help. Please contact Jamie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 978-745-9888, ext. 362.
