Behavior Associate: You will work closely with our director of behavior to implement, support and grow our new behavior program to its full potential. You will help evaluate the behavioral health of cats and dogs, and implement training plans to increase each animal’s adoptability and quality of life while in the shelter. Animal Care Staff: If you are interested in working directly with our pets, we have morning, evening, and weekend shifts open. Shift times are 7am-3pm or 3pm-9pm. Weekends and holidays are a requirement. This position involves the overall care of both cats and dogs. You must be comfortable working with both and be able to routinely lift 50 lbs. Vet Assistant: If you are interested in working directly with rescued pets from across the US then a position at Northeast Animal Shelter is perfect for you. Shifts are 7a-3p or 3p-9p. Tasks involve assisting our veterinarian and taking care of medical needs including medicating, vaccines, blood draws and more, along with record keeping, handling dogs and cats, and working with our veterinarians.
