Our Life-Saving Mission

Forever Friends Legacy Society

Dolores Weaver graduated from the Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville, Indiana in 1948 and the Jersey City Medical Center, New Jersey in 1950. Her career as an operating room nurse eventually brought her to Massachusetts, where she worked at a number of prestigious Boston-area hospitals, and her dedication to the nursing profession saved many lives.

“Weaver” (as Dolores was known) was a beloved member of her close-knit neighborhood and has been described by friends as a “take-charge, get-things-done” kind of woman, with a wonderful sense of humor.

She was also a devoted animal lover, and we are so honored that she included our Shelter in her will.  Through her bequest, Dolores’ kindness will live on benefiting the many pets we care for each and every day.

You can join Forever Friends too

If you would like to provide a lasting gift of love for animals, we encourage you to include Northeast Animal Shelter in your estate plans. You can also name the Shelter as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or IRA. It’s one of the most meaningful and enduring ways to support the thousands of homeless pets we save each year.

For more information on how your legacy can live on through a bequest, please contact Jamie Garabedian at the Shelter. Her telephone number is 978-745-9888, extension 362. Or, you can reach Jamie by email at jamie.g@neas.org.

If you have already named the Shelter as a beneficiary, please let us know so that we may thank you and welcome you into our Forever Friends Legacy Society.
