Hi, I am Adam, an energetic guy looking for a busy home were I can run, explore, hike and play. I enjoy meeting people and am very sweet. I do need some guidance so I can learn how to walk properly on leash, although staff and volunteers are helping me learn proper leash etiquette and I am doing better with this every day. I am taking training classes and learning many good things as well. My favorite thing to do is nose work, because I find tasty treats. I am a lucky guy because I spent a couple of days in a foster home where they discovered that I get along well with their cat and dog! If you are loving people with an active lifestyle, I may be the one for you.”
2/18/2019: Adam has been on a few field trips lately with the shelter staff. He’s been to Starbucks and had his first Puppuccino! He was a very well behaved co-pilot in the car. He’s also been to the beach and enjoyed taking in all the sights and smells. Adam would make a great adventure companion!
1/22/2019: Adam is a friendly guy and loves to play with his humans. Adam can get very excited when he plays with you but we’re working hard together to teach him good manners and boundaries. Adam is currently learning the “sit” command. Loves his hard chew toys. He’s also learning the “heel” command because sometimes when he’s out walking on his leash, he gets so excited and can pull hard. He just wants to go and have you keep up with him but he’s learning that his human is in charge. His adopters will want to commit to continuing teaching him how to be the best dog he can possibly be.
