Hi!  My name is Bandit and I am a big and beautiful fun loving boy!  I am simply a love bug.  I love people, especially when they give me belly rubs.  I enjoy sitting near my people and chewing on chew toys.  I also enjoy going for walks and playing with tennis balls.  I super love going for rides in a car too!  I have learned the commands for “sit” and “leave it.”  I am also working on learning other commands and I am treat motivated.  I have just finished my training school and I passed with flying colors!

Shelter Notes

7/18/2017:  Bandit has finished his training.  He will be visiting us here Wednesday and Thursday from 3-5 PM and on Saturday from 10-noon before heading off to Salem Willows for a Walk About.  If you would like to visit with Bandit during a different time, please call us @ 978-745-9888.

6/21/17: Bandit is ready to start interviewing new families to see who he will pick as his perfect match. Please call us today to set up an appointment. He has made incredible progress with his manners and behavior with other dogs. See his video on Loyal Canines Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/loyalcaninespeabody/posts/1528036643902795

6/12/17: Bandit was adopted but returned to the shelter. He is an active boy who does okay for maybe a part time schedule but otherwise wants to be with his people. He loves going everywhere and doing everything. He could be described as a Party Dog! Bandit is still working through controlling his overwhelming behavior around other dogs and is now spending time with his new friends at Loyal Canines. While he may be a big, strong boy he is one who truly loves being with people of all ages. Hopefully with his improved basic manners he can learn that not everyone wants his big body in their lap and that there are times when it is appreciated that he doesn’t just throw himself into every situation he comes across. Bandit would make a perfect buddy for someone who loves outdoor activities like hiking, running, biking, and more. If you would like the opportunity to meet this special boy please call us today!

5/23/2017:  Bandit is continuing with his training.  If you are interested in meeting with him, please call the shelter 978-745-9888 and ask for Jenna or an available adoption counselor, or come on in for more information.

4/12/17:  Bandit’s learned some great new skills since he’s been in training.  He’s really well behaved and would love nothing more than to be part of an active, energetic family, preferably one who has experience in living with strong, spirited dog.  If Bandit sounds like the pet you’ve been looking for, call the shelter and ask to speak to Jenna, Sue or any of our available counselors.

3/27/17:  Bandit has gone to school at Bark-N-Roll.  He is still available.  If you are interested in adopting Bandit, please call the shelter at 978-745-9888 and ask to speak to Jenna, Sue or any of our available adoption counselors.

3/15/17:  Bandit is a really smart boy.  He’s very obedient and understands a lot of commands.  He’s been taught to stop and sit at each door he goes through and waits for you to give him the ok to go through it.  When you keep him on a short leash, he will walk right next to you.  Bandit is very eager to please the person he’s with so if you’re looking for a sweet, strong guy like Bandit, stop in and meet him today.

3/3/17:  Bandit: A quarterback star – potentially the next Tom Brady?

Bandit can come off looking and sounding like a mean guy, but he is a big softy.  He’s quite strong and powerful, just like a quarterback.  Bandit has socialized with other dogs but it may be best if he’s the only dog in your home for now, at least until he learns how to get along well with all different types of dogs.  If Bandit sounds like the dog for you, come in and meet him today.
