Hello, my name is Carmen and I am a sweet but shy gal. I am friendly and being around other dogs helps me build my confidence, so maybe my new home will have one or two that I can look up too. I also give out many kisses. I really am a good girl, please come on in and meet me.”
4/30/2019: Carmen is a very sweet but very shy and fearful pup though she has made great progress during her time here at the shelter. She tends to be fearful of new people and new environments but has shown improvement with engaging with people. Her shyness seems to disappear completely when she is around other more social, confident dogs so she would likely do best with an adopter that has an existing dog that matches these qualities. We would also strongly recommend that an adopter commit to putting Carmen through a high-quality, positive reinforcement-based puppy training class within a couple of days after adoption. Carmen is going to make someone a wonderful companion dog for the right adopter. Why not stop in and meet her today?
