In case you don’t know, this is staff’s favorite boy, Deagan. Before coming to the Shelter, he spent the majority of his life in a very neglectful situation — he was kept on a logging chain outside and only weighed 38 lbs when he was rescued (to put it into perspective he weighs 57 lbs now!). His start in life is truly heartbreaking, but you would never know it to meet him! Deagan is all smiles, all the time. He has a full body wiggle whenever he meets new people, and he is oh-so-sweet…in fact, it’s safe to say he’s never met a stranger. Deagan is just a happy, wiggly guy who adores just about everybody, and he even does well with kids. He walks like a gentleman on leash, sits for cookies, and most of all just wants some attention and love, which is why we are so devastated that he is still looking for a home! Deagan has had successful relationships with doggo friends in the past, but for medical reasons he currently needs to be the only dog in the home— which makes him a perfect candidate to be an Unfurgettable Friend! Deagan does not like to share food or his favorite toys with other canine friends.

Deagan is currently in a foster home and not in the building for visits. If you are interested in meeting him, please follow the instructions below.

Deagan is a big boy with specific needs who continues to be overlooked through no fault of his own… so we’ve made him one of our  Unfurgettable Friends! If you are interested in learning more about Deagan, email unfurgettable@neas.org ATTN: Deagan and fill out the online pre-adoption form.
