Hi, my name is Heather. Oh my goodness, everyone says I’m such a happy girl! I am a champion ball fetcher, friendly to people and love giving kisses. I guess you could say that I am energetic, playful and tons of fun. I am also smart too, I know the commands for sit, down and look. I am good at the trade game and eager to learn more. I would prefer to be your one and only fur friend. If you have an active home and are searching for the same in a furry friend, come on in and meet me!”
6/11/2019: Heather went on her 2nd field trip to the Salem Willows last week and she enjoyed herself! There were some sights and sounds that were new to her but for the most part, she enjoyed the hustle and bustle! She did great on the car ride there. In the car, she usually prefers to ride on someone’s lap!
5/8/2019: Heather enjoys spending time in various offices. She will curl up in any chair, sometimes she ends up twirling away. She loves to investigate everything and needs to be reminded of her manners at times. She will settle in and be content while you work. Heather still has challenges being around others dogs, some more than others. She’s learning how to stay focused on you and to ignore the activity around her. She will thrive in a home without lots of commotion and with someone who will be entertained by her curiosity antics.
4/15/2019: Heather would love a home with someone who will keep up with her training. She is a fast learner and knows sit, down, touch, crawl, and look. She is working working on fetch and trade. Loves spending time with her staff and volunteer friends. She does not enjoy being around other dogs so as you can imagine, shelter life can be stressful for Heather.
3/28/2019: Heather is a smart cookie! She has been working on her basic commands and the shelter staff has found that she is quite treat motivated! After she gets her daily exercise, she loves to curl up for snuggles. She’s looking for a loving forever home that will continue training with her. She would feel most comfortable as an only dog.
