Hello, my name is Indie. I am shy when meeting new people and in new situations. My sister is here too. We are separated because when we are together when only cuddle in a corner together and growl at people. Since we are separated I am learning that people are not as scary as once thought. I have enjoyed a couple of field trips and when I get to know someone well, I will jump up on their legs and give kisses. I am always happy to see the friends (people) that I have made.”
2/28/2018: Indie has come a very long way from when she first arrived here at the shelter. She can be very shy and may even growl at you when she first meets you but once she gets to know you, she has no problem jumping up on your legs and giving you kisses. She needs to feel she can trust you first before she relaxes and opens up. Indie recently went out on a trip to a local beach and she had an wonderful time. She was drawn to the waters edge and just sat there staring out into the ocean – just taking it all in. You could see how fascinated she was with everything going on around her. Indie would likely do best with another older, confident dog and a quiet home without small children.
