Katie is currently in a foster home, where she has her own room and enjoys sunbathing and playing with her toys. She is very nervous when it comes to change, so she will need a forever home that understands it will take her a while to feel comfortable in her new home. Once she feels comfortable, her foster mom reports that she is affectionate. She is looking for an adult home where she can enjoy her alone time, as well as, some time with her people when she chooses to spread the love!

Katie is an independent lady with specific needs, which makes her one of our last-to-be-adopted pets, affectionately known as our Unfurgettable Friends! If you are interested in learning more about Katie, email unfurgettable@neas.org ATTN: Katie and fill out the online pre-adoption form.

Her foster has sent an update about how Katie is doing in her foster home. She says:

“She is acclimated to her foster room. She is in her own room with an open door with 2 baby gates enclosing the doorway. She does okay when the resident cats pass by her door. Her foster uses a back scratcher to pet her and used her hand the other day and heard Katie purr. The foster lays on a blanket in the foster room and Katie will come close to her. Katie is used to seeing a few family members also go in and out of her foster room. She is playful and will bat around some toys.”
