Upon Zach’s arrival at the shelter, it was evident that this cutie was in need of some extra TLC and confidence building, so he spent some much needed time in a loving foster home! We’ve learned a lot about him through his time in foster (and are still continuing to learn more!) and feel that he will thrive in a quiet home with just a few patient adults (as too much activity stresses him out), with a fenced backyard as he’s most comfortable outside and loves to be silly and playful under the sun (or in the snow!). His ideal family will be with someone who is home more often than not and can help him with his fear of being alone. Zach loves the cats in his foster home, rarely barks, and is potty trained. As he’s gotten more comfortable, he’s started to show his puppy side and will need a home that is committed to teaching him house manners. He struggles with skin issues that require medicated baths, as well as medication that his new family will need to continue. It will be important to make a plan for management with your vet. Zach is a great boy with a lot of potential who we will believe will blossom and thrive in the right home.
Zach is a nervous boy, which makes him one of our Unfurgettable Friends! If you are interested in learning more about Zach, email firstname.lastname@example.org ATTN: Zach and fill out the online pre-adoption form.
